James Lindsey – “Rainbows” (Feat. Cicily) (Video) @JamesLindseyCo @prissyplease

VIDEOS

The Louisville slugger, James Lindsey releases his latest music video, “Rainbows.” “Rainbows” is a single from James’ next project, “Same Sky” which is set for release next Friday, January 20th. Below, James explains his inspiration for creating “Rainbows.”

Mass incarceration inspired this video.  I put myself in the shoes of Simone who had obviously lost someone to the prison system in America.  It sounds dark but myself and my director Roman Lane used light in the video as a sign of hope.  The song is based on my experience with my cousin who was incarcerated and how I felt when he was released.  It is one of those stories that a lot of families deal with and I am glad to share my perspective.

Independent Artist, Dre Powe releases his new hit single “Meditate,” produced by Kendrick, Lord of The Mix and recorded at Grand Hustle Studios. The track has a “feel good” vibe which allows you to take in the essence of hip-hop and reminisce to a time when you could vibe out to a song because it made you FEEL GOOD! The two having previously interned together under Super Producer Bangladesh, found themselves back in the lab but this time, cooking up some heat! A lyricist by nature and a songwriter by trade, Powe really hit a home run when he teamed up with Kendrick and created this phenomenal record!
