MUSIC5 Miles to Midnight (5M2M) is an indie rock band based between Trinidad and NYC. They initially caught fire with the release of their first project, appropriately titled ‘OMG it’s 5M2M’s 1st EP’ which featured fan favorite tracks ‘Don’t Regret Using Government Substances’ and ‘Ctrl’. Next 5M2M released their single ‘Short Term Love’ which displayed a softer playful side of the band. Crim Dela Crim – “Truth”
VIDEOSAttacking some of the most controversial issues facing society today, Kansas bred rapper Crim Dela Crim drops his video for his single “Truth” that captures the visceral fear of people across the country.
Plagued by today’s destructive news cycle, Crim Dela Crim addresses a host of issues, rapping about topics from the election, to Black Lives Matter, to police brutality. Crim Dela Crim hopes this track can pre-emptively silence anyone who would cut at his arguments lobbying for a more just and truthful society.
Since relocating to the West Coast, Crim Dela Crim, has been diligently working to create his fourth studio album, Free Parking On Saturday, continuing his pattern of consistent releases that can be heard on his Pandora station.
“In 2012 I dropped my first official studio album and since then I’ve been putting out a project just about every year for the fans. I’ve yet to put out a mixtape, but this year I’m going to do that for fans,” Crim Dela Crim explained.
“With the album it’s more my producers that I work with and we create this art – I really sit down with my producers and take my time. With the mixtape it’s for the fans to hear me on different beats, because they are always asking me to get on this beat or that beat.”
Kicking things off with “Truth,” Crim Dela Crim is delivering a visual that is captivating as much as it is intuitive making the listener think about the ills that he spits on the track.
“Its produced by my producer the Architect and its something to address police brutality, Black on Black crime, its about everything. I didn’t want people to be able to counter it in any way. From Hilary vs Trump to all the other issues going on in society, I just wanted to make something current but something everyone can find something they like in it.”

D Bo ft Kevin Gates – “Solid”
MUSICArmed with a new distribution deal via Sony Music Entertainment’s The Orchard, Big Top Entertainment (BTE LLC) is prepping the release of their compilation project Already On.
From platinum singers and songwriters to Grammy considered talent this compilation is filled with great music that is resonating across the internet on a host of blogs.
With features from RIAA Platinum hit maker Kevin Gates and contributions from Grammy considered artists Cicely O’kain and SF1, the current roster at Big Top Entertainment LLC has some talent accustomed to the inner workings of songwriting in the music industry.
Indiana, Indianapolis street star DBO also adds a rough edge to the project after he acquired the talents of Kevin Gates on the song “Solid,” which serves as the lead single to the project.
In addition, Oklahoma’s own Sha Sha Jones, who was featured on the Game’s number one album The Documentary 2 added to the project on the second track.
Foreign – “On Top”
VIDEOSBred in Houston’s Studewood area but raised in the streets throughout H-Town’s various wards, Texas artist Foreign has been making great strides in just a short amount of time. Building on the success of his song “Get This Money” that garnered radio spins in Texas, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Shreveport, Biloxi, Jackson, Augusta and New Orleans, Foreign returns with a new song called, “On Top.”
“On Top,” was produced by Deemax and Valentine and isn’t your typical rag to riches story, but will be somewhat familiar to a lot of people that come from the struggle and relate to Foreign’s path to success. In addition, the music video features guest appearances by Michael “5000” Watts and Brian Angel of Day 26.
“When you’re looking and listening to my music, yea the audio goes hard, but the video takes you back to where I grew up. I took a half million dollars worth of cars back to the projects. Now that’s a hell of a visual itself just to see it through my own eyes,” Foreignexplained. “‘On Top’ is pretty much a sequel to ‘Get This Money,’ and when you see the video it’s important to know that because we brought back some familiar characters from the first video.”
Despite the fact that Foreign has worked with some of Houston’s top producers and artists, this street hustler turned rap upstart is currently focused on pleasing his fans.
“In all actuality I want to represent Houston with the movement that I grew up following, I want to rep my city in a familiar way so that people in my generation have something to rock with. We don’t dance, we don’t do the skinny jeans and that’s cool for those people, but that’s not where my background comes from,” Foreign explained.
The plan seems to be working as Foreign recently got some pretty big local co-signs and has a few labels interested in his talents. One of the cosigns was from “Michael “5000” Watts who said, “S/O to @ForeignMusik remaking history in these streets.”
“Michael “5000” Watts gave me the co-sign recently and I’m in talks with some people at Cash Money right now, but we will see how this all plays out, right now I’m just focused on making my fans happy” he added.
