J. Sipp Brings The Mississippi Grit With Debut Album ‘A Gift From Me To You’

ALBUM

Mississippi’s own J. Sipp is officially in album mode. The Meridian artist, engineer, and producer just released his debut album, A Gift From Me To You, hosted by Gutta TV, giving listeners a full look at his sound, his story, and the versatility he’s built over the past few years.

For J. Sipp, this project has been a long time coming. He grew up surrounded by music, listening to different styles depending on which side of the family he was with. Those early influences eventually shaped his ear for production and helped him transition from an artist discovering his talent to one confidently building a brand.

The debut album blends solid lyrics, Southern grit, and polished engineering—reflecting his skill both behind the mic and behind the boards. The project features collaborations with Kia Shine, Boy Fresh, Wacotron, J Money, and engineering credits tied to Hustle Life and Bone The Mac, giving the album a mix of hometown pride and industry credibility.

J. Sipp’s journey hasn’t been easy. He’s faced trauma from the military, everyday life, and time in the streets—experiences that pushed him toward therapy, self-work, and using music as a way forward. That honesty shows up throughout the album, adding weight to the bars without forcing the narrative.

His resume is stacking quickly, too. He’s been featured on The Source, Making It Magazine, Urban Grind TV, The Progress Report, and even secured a sync placement in the film “Push to Shove.”

With his debut album now out, J. Sipp is focused on building momentum, expanding his fanbase, and pushing his brand to the next level.

Tony Good At It & Kashh Prince XIV Deliver Culture-Shifting Message with New Album Martin & Malcolm

ALBUM

Decatur artists Tony Good At It and Kashh Prince XIV have joined forces for one of the most meaningful releases of the year: their collaborative album Martin & Malcolm, dropping November 27, 2025 under Good @ It Music/Musiqal Mindz/GMC. Available now for pre-save, the project embodies a mission far deeper than entertainment—it’s a cultural reset, designed to uplift, motivate, and reshape how hip-hop is viewed across generations.

The inspiration behind Martin & Malcolm stems from the duo’s desire to change the narrative surrounding rap music. In a climate where negativity often overshadows artistry, Tony and Kashh set out to create an album that carries purpose. Drawing from the mindsets of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X, they crafted songs that speak to today’s world with vision, strength, and unity. What makes this album truly special is that it’s profanity-free, rooted in integrity, and intentionally created for families—something Tony proudly notes even his mother can enjoy.

Nearly a decade in the making, the project began as an idea years ago but took full shape once Kashh Prince relocated back to Atlanta in 2024. Over the next year, the artists wrote, recorded, and refined each track, with engineer Saint Nic bringing the final sound to life. The result is an album that listeners from all walks of life can relate to, especially those facing anxiety, depression, struggles with faith, or challenges with self-worth.

Fans can catch Tony Good At It and Kashh Prince XIV performing live on November 19th at Boogalou Lounge, with exclusive Martin & Malcolm merch arriving soon. With dual perspectives inspired by Martin and Malcolm, this album positions the duo as powerful voices in hip-hop’s evolution.

Scream 2 Album: The Sequel — When Halloween Takes Over Detroit

ALBUM

Two Detroit-born rap collectives and a drummer-turned-lyricist have joined forces to create one of the most adrenaline-fueled, spine-tingling Halloween experiences of the year. Scream 2 Album: The Sequel isn’t just a project — it’s a cinematic trip through the city’s haunted heart, where the supernatural collides with street realism.

This 7-track collaboration between 53X (Aussie Powers, Paul Berra) and GGB DEATHSQUAD (Knifefvght, Nxversleep, Astronomikill, and GGB Zel), featuring 13, fuses alternative rap, rage rap, metal trap, and pop-punk rock. The result is dark, theatrical, and alive with energy — a reflection of Detroit’s gritty pulse wrapped in Halloween horror.

53X: The Dynamic Duo of the Muddy Mitten

Once a trio, now a powerhouse duo, 53X embodies the dual forces defining Detroit’s experimental rap scene — emotion and aggression, melody and menace.

Aussie Powers

Born with a damaged eardrum that left him deaf in one ear, Aussie Powers turned adversity into motivation. He began performing in middle school talent shows before finding his sound through The Garden Community, a collective that helped refine his signature blend of chaos and control. Known for his fiery ad-lib “NAHH FUKK!,” his flow swings between raw street ferocity and melodic vulnerability. After years working in Detroit’s strip and night clubs, he mastered how to move people through rhythm — his music now bridging pain and power with unapologetic energy.

Paul Berra

Detroit’s Paul Berra delivers sharp, introspective lyricism shaped by authenticity and heart. Starting his music journey in 10th grade, he carved out a space for substance over flash. Influenced by Yeat and Playboi Carti, his flow balances ruthless precision with reflective calm — giving voice to both Detroit’s struggle and its relentless drive.

GGB DEATHSQUAD: The Goth-Industrial Rebels of the Underground

GGB DEATHSQUAD is Detroit’s dark-wave collective breaking every boundary in alternative rap. With roots in goth, metal, industrial, and emo, their sound merges chaos and cohesion — pushing the culture into uncharted territory.

Knifefvght

Detroit native Knifefvght is the architect of the squad’s sound — a dark-wave, metal-trap force who merges aggression with melody. A veteran of the underground, he’s known for projects like Rareform and Baragaki, blending hardcore, punk, and industrial influence into emotional intensity. As a founding leader of GGB, he drives the group’s charge into new sonic territory.

Nxversleep

A nonbinary artist from Metro Detroit, Nxversleep began their musical path at age 10, cutting their teeth on pop-punk and metal before transitioning into hip-hop during the SoundCloud era. Influenced by Blink-182, The Black Dahlia Murder, and Lil Peep, they combine emotional storytelling with raw, rage-fueled energy. After enduring heartbreak and hardship during the pandemic, Nxversleep reemerged stronger — turning pain into power and community through GGB, which they call their chosen family.

Astronomikill

“I make rap, trap metal, alt, indie, and bedroom pop,” says Astronomikill, who began writing songs on paper plates at age six. Joining GGB in 2024, he found a creative home among kindred spirits and turned his lifelong passion into presence. His sound blends heavy, haunting emotion with dreamlike escapism — balancing raw chaos with melodic finesse.

GGB Zel

Though GGB Zel only appears briefly in a skit, his presence carries weight — teasing his upcoming three-track Halloween EP. Zel anchors GGB’s sound with Detroit authenticity, grounding their wild experimentation with street-bred confidence. His voice, like Aussie Powers, stands as one of the truest reflections of Detroit’s heartbeat.

13: The Phantom Drummer

13 brings rhythm, aggression, and mystique to Scream 2 Album: The Sequel. Known as the drummer for hardcore goth band Second Salem, he channels Ghostemane-inspired fury with an eerie edge. His moniker “13” — representing the letters in his real name, which he’s never revealed — cements his aura as one of the project’s most mysterious forces.

Detroit’s Dark Collective

These collectives  have shared stages on tour with Virginia Beach’s trap-metal artist Old Soul, UK dark-trap artist Percy Bones, and  hispanic dark-trap artist Sagan Ummo, and have twice opened for Detroit legend Bizarre of D12.

Together, 53X and GGB DEATHSQUAD redefine the city’s alt-rap scene — raw, emotional, and cinematic. Scream 2 Album: The Sequel blends horror, truth, and sound into something that feels like Detroit’s heartbeat on Halloween night: dangerous, electric, and aliv

ALBUM

Atlanta’s own Definition Of Artistry is back with his latest project, “State to State, released on August 29, 2025 under his independent label Legacy Over Money Records. The project, though technically an EP, carries the depth and ambition of a full-length album. Driven by a desire to ‘capture the moment,’ the artist created this body of work during his summer promo & Media press run, allowing each track to serve as a snapshot of real-time energy and emotion. His motivation stemmed from being fully present in his craft, translating the hustle, movement, and inspiration that came with life on the road into a cohesive musical experience.

The album also marks a shift in his collaborative approach, incorporating more features than fans might expect, symbolizing his mission to build coalitions over competition while expanding his influence from Atlanta to the West Coast.

Beyond the music, Definition Of Artistry continues to inspire through leadership and innovation. As the founder of Legacy Over Money, a thriving clothing line and music brand, he has built a platform that blends culture, motivation, and artistry under one unified vision. His sound, often described as a fusion of street wisdom, poetic introspection, spiritual undertones, and cultural commentary, positions him alongside greats like Nas, Tupac, Nipsey Hussle, Jay-Z, and J. Cole—yet he remains unmistakably himself. With plans already in motion for State to State 2, new merchandise drops via www.LegacyOverMoney.com, and upcoming shows to bring his message to the people, Definition Of Artistry is proving that legacy isn’t just a word—it’s a movement.
