How did you discover that music is your passion?
I discovered this as a kid

How would you describe your style of music?
My music style it’s a mixture of a lot of things But mainly heartfelt emo music

Give us one male and one female musical influence/inspiration. And tell us why them?
One male would be Juice WRLD because he rocked the nation. A female would be Missy Elliott. She showed me individual style and personality.

Out of all the songs you’ve written, which one is the most personal for you and why?
InsaneAsylum. It came from a different place.

Are you interested in tapping into other genres? If so, which ones?
Yes. I would like to tap into rock and more pop music🧚🏾‍♂️.

Tell us about the single you are currently pushing and where it’s available.
The single I am currently pushing it’s called Disguise and it is available everywhere on all platforms.

Are you currently in EP/album mode?
Yes, I am.

What’s been the biggest struggle or obstacle that you’ve overcome since pursuing Music?
Learning to stay in one’s own lane.

You were in the military, thank you for your service! What was that experience like for you?
It it was dreadful. Glad I’m not in anymore.

What else can we catch you doing when you are not creating music? Any hobbies?
Sleeping And eating.

Born in Lafayette, Louisiana, and raised in Bunkie, Louisiana, Cruz later moved to Port Arthur, Texas, where he continued to hone his craft. He fell in love with music at the age of 10 and started making his own music by the time he was in middle school. His dedication and passion saw him putting out his first record in 9th grade, and he hasn’t looked back since.

 

His career saw a significant turning point when he connected with Chris Tyson, who helped him manage his credit and stay focused on his music career. This support was instrumental in pushing his career forward, allowing him to reach new heights.

 

Bigcruz’s success includes being featured on Adam 22 for his song “And I” featuring HBK Revenge. He has headlined major festivals such as the 420 Festival hosted by xbreezy and Indie Fest in Houston, where he performed to crowds of 3,000 to 5,000 people. These high-profile gigs have solidified his place in the music scene. He has also had the chance to meet and connect with prominent artists like SSG Splurge, Sunni the Rapper, Tay Money, Cartel Bo, and Lil Earl. His talent and hard work have earned him a feature on the Genius website and a loyal fan base on Instagram.

 

Balancing his music career with his day job at a car dealership, Cruz exemplifies dedication and resilience. He treats his music career with the same seriousness and commitment, working on his craft every day without taking any days off.

 

Currently, Bigcruz is focused on releasing a new video for his song “Alone” from his “Mr. Possie” tape. He’s also gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated new song and video, “Possie.” This track is set to be a game-changer, showcasing his growth as an artist and his unique southern sound. Dr. Karren Dunkley awarded Jamaica’s National Honour, The Order of Distinction in the rank of Officer

Dunkley previously served as Global Jamaica Diaspora Council member for the United States Northeast region. Reacting to the news of her national honour, Dunkley said in a statement, “It is with profound humility and immense gratitude that I accept the Order of Distinction for service to the Jamaican diaspora. Pittsburgh, PA – Founder of Toyz Electronics, Inc., Damola Idowu, has been awarded the Strategic Service in STEM Award by the PBGH HBCU Collaborative. This award regognizes Idowus work in creating educational ecosystems designed to empower economic mobility through education, STEM and gaming. 

Toyz Electronics, Inc. is an organization dedicated to providing opportunities for STEM education for underrepresented communities, equipping individuals and students with essential skills for todays job market and technology driven economy. Idowu, a Howard University alumni, channels his commitment to educational innovation through programs that bridge a gap between technology, culture and accessibility. Through his leadership, Toyz Electronics, Inc. has developed tools and programs aiding students who struggle in traditional learning environments.

His album title reflects a sentiment he’s had to internalize—that dirty rumors will always circulate, reaching people whether or not they’re grounded in truth. Rather than battling against these falsehoods, 67VINE’s approach is to bury them, symbolically silencing the noise and focusing on his music and personal growth. The album’s lead single, “Wait 4 Me,” offers a glimpse into his journey and serves as an anthem of resilience and endurance.
